The meadow near Bullfrog Films turns russet, and chilly December winds make goldenrod seed heads dance. Juncos and chickadees are back for the winter, waiting for us to fill the feeder. Last week seven whitetail deer appeared at dusk, watching us watching them. Every afternoon the light fades earlier as we move towards the winter solstice. Holiday lights fill the darkness, and the gardeners wait for new seed catalogues to dream by.

- Video Librarian’s 2012 Best Documentaries List
Two Bullfrog Films titles have been selected for Video Librarian’s “Best Documentaries” List for 2012. The Titles are Loteria Films’ Better This World, and Wicked Delicate’s The City Dark. Video Lib’s Randy Pitman shared with us that "Incidentally, Ian Cheney is the only filmmaker to make our Best Docs list three times in the last five years. Wonderful films."
- Science Books & Films "Best of 2012" List
Five Bullfrog Films titles have been included on the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s "Best of 2012" list, published in the December issue of Science Books & Films. The films are: Butterflies & Bulldozers, An Ecology of Mind, the 5-part Geologic Journey II series, “Footprints in the Sand”, from the One Ocean series, and Programmed to be Fat?.
