"Deals fairly with the current dilemma of precedence: property rights or extinction of ecosystems. Highly recommended." Landers

NO ROOM TO ROAM documents the current buffalo hunt taking place near Yellowstone National Park in Montana. Yellowstone's herd tends to stray outside the boundaries of the park, particularly since the large fires there. So the state of Montana holds a hunt, which is protested and obstructed by animal rights activists.

Using the buffalo as a metaphor, NO ROOM TO ROAM illustrates how land available for wildlife is rapidly disappearing. The buffalo were nearly wiped out during the turn-of-the-century wave of human expansion into their habitat. This human "progress" continues today as wildlife habitat is destroyed by developers carving up remaining wilderness areas.

Reviews:
"This video is very well balanced in its presentation; it takes no sides and arrives at no conclusions - the viewers must form their own. Excellent for stimulating college classroom debate on a world wildlife problem." Choice

"A fast-moving, aesthetically pleasing, informative production. This video efficiently presents a particular controversy, but it also opens up questions about animal rights, property rights, the relationship between human beings and animals, the environment, the ecosystem, and the morality of hunting...appropriate for use in classes that cover ethics, social studies, or the environment." **** Video Rating Guide
