The second part of FRIENDS OF RESEARCH AND ODD GADGETS (F.R.O.G.), an innovative half-hour science series from the producers of the award-winning OWL/TV.
F.R.O.G. lifts science off the textbook page into the real world to show how enjoyable and challenging science can be. Four kids tackle their own hands-on projects in a clubhouse filled with atmosphere and old junk- cast-off materials, tools, gizmos, and gadgets that provide the kids with plenty of inspiration. Inventiveness and discovering how things work clearly excite the "froggers."
In each episode the kids tackle a new problem. When the kids need help they call on "The F.R.O.G. Files"-computers with the latest technological facts. An amphibious mascot and hip, animated frog add to the fun.
Please Note:
Individual programs can be purchased separately at $49.00 or rented at $20.00 each.
The 7 individual half-hour programs are:
201: Crime
The Froggers use science to solve "The Case of the Missing Frog."
202: Junkyard Jukebox
The energy required to play a great old jukebox needs to be significantly reduced to stop blowing fuses in the clubhouse.
203: Flying High
Dreams of flying lead the kids into building a magnificent flying machine by recycling their soapbox car from last season.
204: Hamming It Up
From two-way radio to crystal radios to HAM radios, the Froggers explore "short waves" to try and pick up a message from a cosmic mystery voice.
205: Magic
Blending chemistry, physics and a magician's flair, sleight of hand and optical illusions produce great results, and Hugo loses his head, literally!
206: A Light Meal
Can it really get "so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk"? Carlton says. "Yes"; Anthony says, "No way." With a little science and a little magic, lunch is served.
207: Plastic World
The Froggers construct a totally cool plastic world, right down to the food on the table.
