An exciting glimpse into the past, present, and bright future
of non-polluting, energy-efficient, solar and electric cars.
With world tension escalating over oil reserves, and
environmental concerns on everyone's mind, Americans are
beginning to look beyond the petroleum era. This video offers
hope and serves to open students' eyes to possible solutions.

RACE FOR THE FUTURE documents four major competitions for
solar and electric cars, the real testing grounds for this new
generation of automobiles. These races were run from Florida
to Michigan, in New York, Arizona and New England.

Experience the excitement of creating our future along with
the design teams, many of them student teams, and business and
government officials who participated in the races. American
