A wake-up call from Europe documenting the deadly effect of
smokestack emissions on forests not only in Eastern Europe but
also in Great Britain, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

EMISSIONS AND EMOTIONS focuses on the ecological crisis
resulting from industrial pollution generated in the area
known as Death Triangle. This is the border area between
Poland, Czechoslovakia and the former East Germany.
Magnificent forests across Europe have been transformed into a
lifeless environment, and rapid soil erosion is creating a
desert-like environment.

This documentary,
one of the first to offer a pan-European perspective, points
out that a crisis of this magnitude cannot be dealt with in an
isolated approach by individual nations.
