Produced by the National Film Board of Canada/ A film by John
Brett
A wondrously fertile marine eco-system has evolved where the
Bay of Fundy meets the Atlantic Ocean. This area supports an
impressive abundance and diversity of life from microscopic plants
to the 60 ton Right Whale, one of the rarest marine animals in the
world.
Most of the world's deep oceans are barren and virtually all
marine life depends on small food-rich oases like the mouth of the
Bay of Fundy. Although such oases comprise only 5% of the ocean,
they support over 95% of all marine life in the oceans of the
world.
This spectacular National Film Board of Canada production
details the fascinating participants in the food chain and makes a
powerful case for preservation of this ecosystem. With Study
Guide.
